When people ask what I do for a living, I often find myself explaining the complexities of the medical device supply chain. Unlike the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) that sell directly to hospitals, I work on the supply side. I am a product manager for a leading global contract manufacturer, specializing in the creation of critical medical device components, complex sub-assemblies, and even finished devices. This role might seem a bit obscure, but I take immense pride in being a part of it.
